This is a fantastic book to show you how to felt. I have never tried it before and I really wanted to. Grew up with a grandmother and mom who taught me how to sew, knit, crochet, embroider, and many other things but never this. I fell in love with the look but other books' instructions were complicated. These are perfect. Steo by simple step. Pictures and words. Like someone was there showing you. If i can do it anyone can. Good direction with pictures. Some of the ideas are not for me but over all I do really like this book. Just look at the cover, so cute. I work for a non- profit and making these will help to bring in a bit of donation much needed. Adults & kids alike want them and they make them smile. I do of course change them up so they do not look just like the ones in the book at all, I use the book as a guide line on how to get from point A to point B, after that it is your imagination & have fun.
I have fallen in love with all things needle felted. I'm not sure why; maybe it's the ease with which they can be created, sitting in front of the tv in the evening.This book is a great resource if you are just starting out in needle felting. It gives clear instructions on each individual animal. You don't really need all that, you could make one or two and then figure it out from there, but it's nice to have the steps and the explanation of how much wool to use and when to use it.I have NOTHING negative to say about the book! Can't wait to get my whole woolbuddy collection made!
Well... I clearly am not a natural at this but after four tries, I can't seem to get anything to look even close. Not in love with the steps given, need something more for derps like me I guess.
Fun book, written in a style that's easy to follow and read. Starts you out with complete beginner encouragement, provides more challenging projects as you progress through the book. The critters are fun to do and make really cute dust collectors or gifts.
A new craft for me, and I am not very "crafty"... very simple step by step instructions... but you can change the pattern colors to your own personal liking anytime.. I like the cute figures and am enjoying my new craft. (YEP, I am over 50.this is .not just for the youngsters)
A terrific, and very accessible, introduction to needle felting. Please pay attention to the intro chapter, that gives the building blocks for everything else in the book. Many charming projects that don’t look like beginners’ work. This is a well-considered book to turn those interested in this craft into true converts!
The directions in this book could not be more general. There are no specifics on how to make these figures. If you have no experience, don't bother. You'll need to know how to make certain shapes, how to attach sections, and how to needle felt in general. There are photos of "steps", but they don't show you or instruct you on how to do anything.
